So hot in the desert...

It has finally gotten really hot here, so that means no more parks or even splash pads. The good thing is that the pool is warm enough for me to get in and play with the kids. The kids have been enjoying the pool for about a month and a half already. I'm trying to get them in as much as possible before we leave for our month long trip to Utah. Hagen is getting to be such a good swimmer and Ainsley loves floating around in her tube. I've only taken Kinley in a few times and she enjoys it for about ten minutes and then she wants out and to be immediately changed out of her swimming suit.

On Thursday night we got tickets to go and see the circus. Unfortunately the tickets were at the very top of the stadium and it was unbearably hot. We were only there for about 45 minutes and left. The kids said that the enjoyed it a lot. Hagen was mesmerized by the jugglers. I think that next year we might try and go again but this time I will purchase better seats.

We went with some friends to the Natural History Museum on Friday. It was a lot of fun and the kids love going to that place. Afterwards we had to hit up Cafe Rio, since the only one in Arizona is in Gilbert.
Such a good sport

I've tried to get the kids involved in doing some crafts while we are staying in doors. The first project was making pet rocks. Hagen went and found two huge rocks in the yard for him and Ainsley. They painted them, glued eyes, hair, mouths and named them. Hagen's was named Rocky and Ainsley's was Roxy. Next they wanted to make planets. I'm not very creative, but we made them with paper plates, pipe cleaners and puff balls. It kept them entertained for awhile and was fun.
