Our month long trip to Utah

We left Arizona on July 3rd and didn't get home until August 5th. It was nice to get out of the hot weather and spend time with family and friends. The kids enjoyed Utah and didn't want to come back to Arizona, I was tired of living out of bags and was ready to return.
On the 4th of July we went to the Lewiston parade and fireworks. We got to the parade late so we didn't think that we would find an empty piece of lawn, but we did. The kids enjoyed picking up the candy that was thrown. Also, Jason got to see some old friends. It was an enjoyable 4th, much better and cooler (kids were wearing jackets) than being in Arizona.

After the 4th, Jason flew back to Phoenix to work and I went down to my dad's house to stay for a couple of weeks. The kids enjoyed going to visit family & friends, playing outside in the hose, going for walks, the dinosaur museum, Kangaroo Zoo, going to a farm, another parade, and a carnival.

Too interested in everything that was going on
After spending two weeks at dad's house we went to Smithfield and stayed at my in-laws house. The kids were so excited that Scott and Hannah were next door and they could run and play with them all day.It was funny because the older kids did great but Elle and Ainsley were always going at one another - it must be the age.
My good friend and I decided to take the kids to Bear Lake and spend the night. She has three girls, so Ainsley loved having company and Hagen was finally out numbered. While we were there we experienced our first earthquake. I thought it was strong wind, but we walked out on the patio and there wasn't any wind blowing. The next morning we found out it was a 3.2 earthquake and originated right by where we were - scary.
Another day, Ali and I decided to try and take the kids to Hogle Zoo and the Park City shopping afterwards. It was a long day but the kids were great and had a really good time. A few other things we did while in Logan were: Willow Park, First Dam, a parade and fireworks, The Fun Center, and swimming.

Overall the trip was wonderful and we enjoyed it a lot. We did a lot and were very tired afterwards. A few firsts that happened while we were there were: Riding a Ferris Wheel, Hagen jumping off a diving board, experiencing an earthquake, Bear Lake, and Hogle Zoo. I'm already looking forward to leaving for a month next year.
