Christmas Fun

Each year La Casa preschool puts on a cute Christmas program where the kids get to sing in front of a crowd and then the parents go back to the classrooms for another song and present exchange. Hagen did such a good job singing and looked like he had a good time. This is his second year doing it, so he was a pro. I was so excited to see Ainsley's program because she has been singing all of the songs everyday after school, but unfortunately we missed it. I ended up sick with a stomach bug the night before so Jason was going to take the kids but before they started getting ready Ainsley complained of a tummy ache and started vomiting a few minutes later. I'm glad that she didn't get up on stage and start vomiting in front of everyone. We were sad that we didn't get to attend the program.

Attending Zoo lights and the Temple lights is a must each year. Zoo lights was very busy this year but luckily we got there early enough and saw all that we wanted to see and got out of there in an hour. We were also early to the Temple lights and was able to walk around without being in a huge crowd.

On Christmas Eve we went and sprinkled some reindeer food and sparkles that Hagen received as a gift from his teachers. The sparkles was supposed to help Santa see our house in the dark and the food was for the reindeer because they had to travel so far. It was a lot of fun!

Christmas was so much fun. I wasn't prepared at all and didn't do any of the shopping in advance, so I was one of the crazy people fighting the crowds and standing in the long lines. The kids enjoyed what they received. Row Row our elf must have told Santa that the kids were good this year because they received a lot of presents. Hagen was very worried that he wasn't going to get anything but a lump of coal because he hasn't been listening. When he and Ainsley woke us up at 5 on Christmas morning he said that he had lots of presents and he must have been good :) Hagen received a Nintendo DS, Ainsley a doll house, and Kinley a push toy to help her walk. Kinley didn't wake up for a couple hours after Hagen and Ainsley opened their gifts, so she had all the help she needed opening her gifts. Ainsley thought that they were all hers and kept taking them from her. We enjoyed our day by attending church and playing with the new toys.
