Before we took our month long vacation to Utah, Hagen got involved in swim team. I wasn't sure if he would like it or if it would be too intense, but I thought we'd try it anyway. The practice was held every day except for Thursday's and those were when the meets were held. It was very hot to go and sit through his practices, but he ended up loving it and couldn't wait to go the next day. He was the youngest and one of the smallest kids there, but he didn't care. The first day of practice they made the kids jump in and swim freestyle the length of the pool. There were several kids that couldn't make it, but Hagen made it no problem (I doubt I would be able to do the same). The two meets that Hagen was able to compete in were freestyle and he won fifth place and backstroke which he won eighth place. I'm so proud of him and hopefully he will want to continue this sport.
